Theft was reported on Thursday in Weston Hall at 204 E. Peabody Drive, Champaign late Thursday or early Friday. According to the report, a University student reported that his laptop, wallet and bank cards were stolen after he had guests in his dorm room. The total estimated value of the stolen property is $2,225.


Aggravated assault was reported in the 1600 block of Hunter Street around 7 p.m. on Monday. According to the report, the victim claimed that the offender pointed a gun at her, but the offender, who has a concealed carry permit, denied the accusation. No independent witnesses were able to corroborate the victim’s account, the report noted.
