University

Theft of motor vehicle parts was reported on Wednesday. According to the report, two University employees reported that their vehicles’ catalytic converters had been stolen.

Urbana

Theft of motor vehicle parts was reported in the 400 block of West High Street around 4 p.m. on Wednesday. According to the report, an unknown offender stole a catalytic converter off the victim’s vehicle.

First degree murder was reported in the intersection of West Burkwood Court and South Vine Street around 6 p.m. on Wednesday. According to the report, the victim was located in the roadway, unresponsive and unconscious. He was transported to the local hospital where it was determined that he was shot and died.
