The University has named an interim dean for the College of Media via a release from the University. Professor Wojtek Chodzko-Zajko will be taking over as dean with Associate Provost Bill Bernhard serving as the interim executive associate dean.

The appointments are pending approval by the Board of Trustees.

Wojtek serves as the dean of the Graduate College and is the Shahid and Ann Carlson Khan Professor of Applied Health Sciences.

Bernhard is a professor of political science. Bernhard has experience with the College of Media after serving on the dean’s review committee.

Both professors will continue to hold their current positions during the interim appointment.

This appointment comes after Jan Slater stepped down as department head back in May.
