Drew Heredia netted three goals and Mike Burda earned his sixth shutout of the year as the Illini dominated Robert Morris in the first round of the Central States Collegiate Hockey League tournament.

Illinois began its barrage of scoring just over three minutes into the game and didn’t let up until the final buzzer, putting 50 shots on goal in the game. It was the Illini’s third consecutive victory against Robert Morris after sweeping the Eagles last weekend.

In tomorrow’s tournament semifinals, the Illini will take on Kent State, who upset Iowa State earlier in the day, while Lindenwood will face Ohio.
