Hockey wins national title

The Illinois hockey club completed its perfect season and won a national title with a 4-2 win over No. 2 Lindenwood in the ACHA National Championship game.

Senior center Drew Heredia notched two goals in his final game as the Illini finished 38-0-0 on the year with the victory.

It was the Illini’s fifth victory over the Lions this season and the club’s second ACHA national title.
