Illinois downs Wolverines 45-20 at Big House

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – After more questions surfaced about the consistency of both the Illinois offense and defense, the Illini responded to both with a 45-20 victory over Michigan, the school’s first win in Michigan Stadium since 1999.

The Illini were led by another pass-heavy game from quarterback Juice Williams, who amassed 431 total yards on the afternoon – good enough for the best mark in Michigan Stadium history.

Williams found receiver Jeff Cumberland for a 77-yard touchdown with 13:34 left in the third quarter, picking up the offense for the Illini early in the second half. The throw of 77-yards was the longest of Williams’ career and the longest pass for the Illini since 1985. The signal caller also had a 50-yard run in the fourth to help seal the win for the Illini.
