The No. 36 Illinois women’s tennis wrapped up the ITA kickoff weekend at Palo Alto, California with a tough loss against No. 5 Stanford, 6-1, on Saturday. Junior Megan Fudge grabbed the only point for the Illini at the No. 2 singles against the Cardinal’s Jessica Nguyen 7-6 (3), 6-2. Fudge is now 4-0 in singles so far this season.

The Illini drop to 2-2 as they prepare to face No. 75 Kansas on Friday, Feb. 6. at the Atkins Tennis Center.
