Illinois Men’s Tennis beat Duke at home

The Illinois men’s tennis team pulled off a thrilling 5-2 win against No. 36 Duke on Friday night in front of an electric Atkins Tennis Center crowd. After winning the doubles point, all but one of the six singles matches were decided in three sets.

Senior Marc Spicijaric fought through a 22-point tiebreaker in the second set against Jared Pinsky before finishing him off to win 6-7, 7-6, 7-5.

The Illini are back in action at 6 p.m. Saturday against a tough No. 8 Tennessee team in Urbana.
