Hockey swept by No. 1 Lindenwood

By Alex Paull

Lindenwood completed the sweep against the Illinois hockey squad on Saturday, beating the Illini by a score of 4-0.

While bad penalties were toned down for the Illini on Saturday, the power play could not be resuscitated.

The Illini went 0 for 9 on the power play, compiling only one goal between the two games this weekend.

While Illini goaltender D.J. Koehler was impressive in stopping 30 shots, it wasn’t enough to overcome the constant pressure the Lions brought.

These were the first home losses for the Illini in the last 55 games.
