Spring promoted to associate head coach of men’s gymnastics

Justin Spring was named associate head coach of the Illinois men’s gymnastics team Wednesday. Spring fills the void that was created when head coach Yoshi Hayasaki retired.
As associate head coach, Spring will assume all the in-the-gym coaching duties. Women’s gymnastics head coach Bob Starkell was also promoted to director of gymnastics, where he will oversee the administrative side of the men’s program and continue to coach the women’s team.
