Game two will be played on Monday at 3 p.m.


Inclement weather has forced the second game of the Champaign Super Regional to be postponed.

There is no time set for the game on Monday.

Tyler Jay will get the start in Monday’s game as the Illini face elimination from the NCAA tournament.


The second game of the Champaign Super Regional between Illinois and Vanderbilt will be moved up to 5 p.m.

The reschedule comes after threat of thunderstorms later in the evening.

Tyler Jay will start for Illinois. Jay is projected to be one of the top picks in the upcoming MLB draft. Philip Pfeifer will start for Vanderbilt.

Illinois needs a win to avoid elimination from the College World Series.
