Illinois lefty pitcher Tyler Jay was selected by The Minnesota Twins at the number six overall spot.

Jay has shown himself to be one of the best closers in college baseball. He has gone 5-1 this season with a .60 ERA and 14 saves on the year. He also had 70 strikeouts to 10 walks going into Monday’s game against Vanderbilt.
