The No. 4 Illinois men’s golf team will be back in action this weekend at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational at Forest Hills Golf Club, not far from Augusta National Golf Club.

The event is hosted by Augusta University, whose men’s golf team ranks just outside the top 100 in the nation. The rest of the field includes five other top-25 ranked teams, not including the Illini.

No. 3 Oklahoma State, No. 6 Arizona State, No. 14 Arizona, No. 17 Pepperdine and No. 24 South Florida round out the competition. The tournament will be played over two days, starting Saturday. The tournament will conclude on the eve of the Masters.

Adrien Dumont de Chassart, Giovanni Tadiotto, Tommy Kuhl, Jerry Ji and Michael Feagles will be in the lineup for the Illini, who are coming off a fifth-place finish at the National Invitational Tournament in Tucson, Arizona two weeks ago.

Augusta University has hosted the Haskins Award Invitational since 1979, and several notable professionals have competed in the event over the years, including Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson and Jordan Spieth.

The Illini have competed in the tournament every year since 2010. Seniors Michael Feagles and Giovanni Tadiotto have competed in the event three times each. Feagles has placed in the top 20 at the Haskins Award Invitational twice in his career, while Tadiotto has yet to crack the top 30.

This will be an important event for Feagles, who was named a finalist for the Haskins Award last month.

Round three of the event will be streamed live on Golf TV at 9 a.m. on Sunday.

The Illini have won four of five events this year, and the Haskins Invitational marks the third to last event before the Big Ten Tournament starts at the end of April. Another win here would give the Illini great momentum heading into the postseason.
