Illinois football released its spring schedule Tuesday, announcing March 14 as the start of spring practice.

The team will have 15 practices over the course of a month, including two practices away from Champaign. The Illini will practice at Homewood-Flossmoor High School in Chicago on April 3 and at Sacred Heart-Griffin High School in Springfield on April 10. Homewood-Flossmoor was a IHSA 8-A state finalist in 2014 and Sacred Heart-Griffin has won back-to-back IHSA 5-A state championships.

The Orange and Blue Spring Game will be held on April 18. The game will begin at 5 p.m. this year after a 2 p.m. start last season and rosters for the spring game will not be announced until the week of the game. Last season, the Blue team blew out the Orange team 38-7 behind two Reilly O’Toole touchdowns and a pick-six from V’Angelo Bentley.
