The Illini women’s wheelchair basketball team beat defending national champion Alabama twice this weekend in its return to the ARC.

Facing four different schools in nine combined games in two days, the Illinois men’s and women’s teams brought wheelchair basketball back to the ARC for their annual college tournament.

The men’s team faced Alabama, Wisconsin-Whitewater, Arizona State and Edinboro. The women’s team matched up with all but the Fighting Scots of Edinboro.
