Illini football player Lere Oladipo arrested

Illinois redshirt freshman Lere Oladipo was arrested Sunday at around 1:30 a.m. by the University police on domestic battery charges, according to the News-Gazette.

The defensive player was released on a $1,000 bail Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. and has a criminal arraignment set for 1:30 p.m. on Monday.

Oladipo appeared in the Illini’s 63-33 loss to Maryland on Saturday, recording one tackle. On the season, Oladipo has appeared in four games with seven tackles after missing the first two games of the season due to an injury.
