I was outraged to learn that attending the Racism, Power and Privilege forum on Feb. 1 was recommended against. The Daily Illini is supposed to represent the students and share the information of the campus. The Daily Illini should uphold the good things that the students do, not tear them down. Putting together this forum took a lot of work and a lot of like-minded people.

It was very difficult to get the administration to respond to anything privately, let alone publicly. I am very happy that students didn’t take your advice and that there was need for satellites at two different locations for all of the people who wanted to be in attendance but couldn’t.
