Thursday morning, January 24th, was one of the coldest days we’ve had in Champaign this year so far. Many area schools were cancelled due to the low temperatures and there was a warning advisory to pet owners to keep their pets inside. After my bitter cold walk to the ice arena, I was delighted to see that they were giving out free coffee and hot chocolate to help us students warm up. Though I was glad to save $1.25 that morning, I was more so touched by the generous gesture. Way to go Ice Arena! Thanks for helping us students battle the weather at UIUC (University of Illinois, Unbelieveably-Cold!)
