Campus-wide events
Saturday, May 10
Noon – 3 p.m. – Open house at the new Alice Campbell Alumni Center. There will be tours, food and entertainment for graduates and their families. The center is located on Lincoln Avenue near Illinois Street.
6 p.m. – The Native American House hosts a congratulatory program for all graduating American Indian students at the Native American House, 1206 West Nevada Street, Urbana. Advanced registration required. Academic attire or traditional regalia is encouraged.
6:30 p.m. – The Bruce D. Nesbitt African American Cultural Program will host its congratulatory program for all African American students in 100 George Huff Hall, 1206 South Fourth Street, Champaign. Advance registration required.
7:30 p.m. – The La Casa Cultural Latina will be hosting a formal congratulatory program for any graduating Latino/Latina students. The ceremony will take place in the Great Hall at the Krannert Cener for the Performing Arts, 500 South Goodwin Avenue, Urbana. Advance registration required.
Sunday, May 11
8 – 9:30 a.m. – Graduates, candidates and families are invited to a reception hosted by President White and Chancellor Herman. Academic attire is encouraged. The event will take place in the gardens of the president’s house, 711 West Florida Avenue, Urbana.
10:30 a.m. – Campus-wide Commencement ceremony at Assembly Hall for the graduates of the following colleges:
