Obama just a talker

By Jason Motsinger

The student population of the U of I can never be fully behind the Democrat nominee. There are still Evangelical Republicans on campus who see what Barack Obama really is: a radical liberal.

How can Obama talk so much about hope and change? He accuses John McCain of voting with President Bush (30% approval rating) 90% of the time, yet he is unwilling to go across party lines because he votes with his own party (9% approval rating) 97% of the time.

He is also unwilling to stand up to unions for the good of the country. Chicago teaches get paid up to 100 grand a year, yet only teach a half of a day of classes. Barack seems to be unwilling to use his influence to make sure students get a full day of classes because the teachers’ union contributed to his campaign.

You decide: true reformer or just a talker?
