By Colleen Vest

Champaign Police arrested two men wanted for aggravated criminal sexual assault at the 1900 block of Diane Lane at 6:48 Monday morning, according to a press release.

An anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers indicated both suspects, an 18-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, had fled to Chicago shortly after the crime was committed.

The Chicago Office of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force assisted Champaign Police in locating the suspects. The U.S. Marshals informed police that the men had returned to Champaign early this morning, according to the release.

Both men were arrested without incident. Neither of the men are students at the University, said Rene Dunn, spokeswoman for the Champaign Police Department.

The Champaign police are still investigating and ask anyone with information to call the Champaign Police Department at 217-351-4545 or Crime Stoppers at 217-373-TIPS.
