    *Champaign*

    * Criminal damage to property was reported at the Champaign Country Club near the 1200 block of South Prospect Avenue on Saturday.

    According to the report, an unknown suspect drove a vehicle through the golf course and damaged the grass.

    *Urbana*

    * Armed robbery was reported at Goodwin Avenue and Tremont Street on Thursday.

    According to the report, three offenders, two of them armed, demanded money and valuables from the victim.

    * Burglary was reported at the 900 block of West Stoughton Street on Wednesday.

    According to the report, unknown offenders were observed by a witness gaining entry to a secure apartment building by force. Upon entering the building, offenders were confronted by the witness, who scared offenders away prior to police arrival. There was no damage to the apartment building door.

    * Theft from a motor vehicle was reported at the 1300 block of North Lincoln Avenue on Thursday.

    According to the report, an unknown offender entered the victim’s car and stole his laptop computer.

    University

    * Theft was reported at 8 p.m. Sunday at three University buildings: Illini Hall, 725 S. Wright St., Champaign; Coble Hall, 801 S. Wright St, Champaign; and the Student Arcade Building, 815 S. Wright St., Champaign.

    According to the report, copper downspouts valued at $3,000 were reported stolen or damaged.

    * An 18-year-old male, of Linden, Mich., and A 37-year-old female, of Albuquerque, N.M., each were arrested at Lot D-15, 1201 W. Oregon St., Urbana, at 4:15 p.m. Sunday on charges of possession of a controlled substance.

    According to the report, foot patrol officers said they watched the men snort a substance while in the above location and that the substance turned out to be ground-up prescription pills for which they did not hold prescriptions.

    * A 21-year-old Champaign male was arrested at 1:30 a.m. Sunday in the 600 block of East Daniel Street, Champaign, for an outstanding city of Champaign warrant for fighting.

    * A 22-year-old male, of Palmyra, Mich., was arrested for cannabis possession at 11:45 p.m. Friday following a traffic stop near Goodwin Avenue and Nevada Street, Urbana.

    * A 34-year-old male, of Elkhart, Ind., was arrested at 7:45 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of South Goodwin Avenue, Urbana, on a charge of cannabis possession.

    * Theft was reported at the WILL-TV radio tower, 401 E. 1700 North Road, Monticello, 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

    According to the report, someone had stolen copper from seven transmission lines at the radio tower. The estimated value of the items taken was not reported.
