With the imminent end to the Ron Zook football era at the U of I, I think it’s time to move the program in a different direction. The Illini can do this by hiring former Texas Tech coach Mike Leach. I have been to over six Tech games, and nothing beats the excitement that Leach brought to this team and program. He took an irrelevant Tech and made them into a nationally recognized program, with former coaches now head coaches at West Virginia (Dana Holgorsen). The facilities at Tech are top notch, and he makes every game exciting. Let’s take U of I football out of the triple option, three downs and out style of football and make it an AIR RAID!
