Police blotter for Feb. 4, 2014

Champaign

— Domestic battery was reported in the 100 block of West Vine Street around 9 a.m. Monday.

According to the report, the offender was arrested on the charges of domestic battery. 

— A theft was reported in the 2500 block of West Springfield Avenue around 1 p.m. Monday.

According to the report, the victim let the offender into their apartment to use the telephone. The offender then stole the victim’s firearm and coat while the victim was in the bathroom.

University

— A 22-year-old male was arrested on charges of having two outstanding city of Champaign warrants for failure to appear in court and resisting a police officer at Illinois Terminal, 45 E. University Ave, at 9:30 p.m. Monday.

According to the report, the police office recognized the offender, who fled upon being questioned. 

Urbana 

— A theft was reported at the Urbana Free Library, 210 W. Green St., around 10:30 a.m. Monday.

According to the report, the victim left her belongings at the library and they were gone upon return.
