Police blotter for March 16, 2015

Champaign

  • A 19-year-old male was arrested on the charge of residential burglary in the 300 block of East Green Street around 2:30 p.m. Friday. According to the report, the suspect stole jewelry, a computer and other items from the four victims.
  • A 20-year-old female was arrested on the charge of retail theft at Market Place Shopping Center, 2000 N. Neil St., around 6 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, the suspect stole a computer, clothing and toiletries from two stores in the mall.

 University

  • Theft was reported at the Activities and Recreation Center, 201 E. Peabody Drive, on Wednesday. According to the report, the offender stole the victim’s cellphone from his backpack, which was left unattended between 4 and 6 p.m. The phone has an estimated value of $650.
  • Theft was reported on the corner of First Street and Gregory Drive around 6:30 p.m. Thursday. According to the report, a student’s wallet was stolen while it was left unattended near the athletic fields. The wallet contained debit and identification cards and has an estimated value of $50.
