Champaign

— Theft was reported on the 00 block of Chester Street at 8:16 a.m. Friday.

According to the report, the suspect removed the tailgate from a vehicle.

— Theft was reported at Illinois Terminal, 45 E. University Ave., at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 20.

According to the report, a cellphone was stolen.

— Criminal damage to property was reported near the intersection of First and Daniel streets at 11 p.m. Sunday, June 21.

According to the report, a suspect broke the victim’s car window.

University

— Theft was reported at Huff Hall, 1206 S. Fourth St. Tuesday.

According to the report, bicycles owned by the Department of Kinesiology and Community Health were stolen sometime in mid-May. Each bike has a value of $500.

— A 20-year-old student was arrested on the charges of criminal damage to property and consumption of alcohol by a minor on the 900 block of South Locust Street at 3:37 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, a police officer saw the student use a street sign pole to damage a motorcycle, which will cost around $360 to repair.

— A 20-year-old student was arrested on the charges of aggravated battery of a police officer, resisting and obstructing a police officer, criminal trespass to a vehicle and aggravated battery of a nurse at 1301 S. Neil St., at 12:39 a.m. Friday.

According to the report, the student entered the Circle K gas station and shoved an officer. A witness later told police the student had entered her vehicle without permission. When the student was taken to a local hospital, he battered a nurse.

Urbana

— Theft was reported in the 2000 block of East Florida Avenue at 10 a.m. Monday.

According to the report, jewelry, a computer, and stereo parts were stolen from the victim’s residence during a party.

— A 24-year-old male was arrested on the charges of unlawful use of a weapon, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving without a license on the 300 block of West University Avenue at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to the report, the man was initially pulled over for illegal cellphone use but was found to have brass knuckles in his possession. He had no proof of insurance and no valid driver’s license.

— Criminal sexual assault was reported in the 400 block of W. University Avenue at 12:52 p.m. Friday.

According to the report, the offender made unwanted sexual penetration without the consent of the victim.
