Champaign

Theft was reported on the 800 block of West Interstate, around 11 a.m., Monday. According to the report, the victim left his phone unattended in a public bathroom. The phone was later stolen.

Motor vehicle theft was reported on Armory Avenue and First Street, around 2 a.m., Tuesday. According to the report, the victim was unable to locate her motor vehicle.

Unlawful possession and use of a weapon by a felon was reported on the 700 block of South Randolph Street, around 7:30 p.m., Wednesday. According to the report, the victim reported that he was threatened by the offender who was armed with a firearm. The offender was arrested and issued a parole warrant. The firearm was recovered.

University

Theft was reported on the 300 block of East Daniel Street, around 8:30 p.m., Wednesday. According to the report, $200 was taken from an unattended wallet left on an exercise machine at the Activities and Recreation Center, 201 E. Peabody Drive. The suspect, 20-year-old University student, was issued a state of Illinois notice to appear in court for the theft that originally occurred Jan. 14.

Urbana

Fraud was reported at Jackpot Food Mart, 2005 Philo Road, around 10 a.m., Wednesday. According to the report, the victim’s credit card was taken by an unknown offender. The offender attempted to use the credit card at a local convenience store. The offender has not been identified or located.
