The Daily Illini wants to give you a warm welcome back to campus, Illini! If you’re a new student, we’re so excited for you and the adventure you’re going to start this year. For returning students, we hope this year is even better than the last.

A new school year offers everyone a chance to start fresh and make changes, and here at The Daily Illini, we plan on taking advantage of that.

The Daily Illini has always had a rich tradition here at the University, but we understand things are changing and students might not be as driven to pick up a newspaper. While the need for the physical newspaper is has dwindled, the need for news has not.

As students, you must be responsible for keeping up with news. As cliche as it is, we are the future and we must be informed to make the future as best as we can. As editors of a student newspaper, we understand it can be hard to keep up with news, especially on campus. We’re here to help.

Download our app, follow us on Instagram and  Twitter, like our Facebook page, add us on Snapchat or just keep up with our website. Or, if you like to stick to the traditional route, you can keep picking up a copy at any of our news stands.
