“Wuthering Heights” – Charlie xcx
Charlie xcx is dipping her toes into the film world with “Wuthering Heights,” the companion soundtrack to the newly released “Wuthering Heights” film, directed by Emerald Fennell. The movie takes a modern approach to the classic gothic romance, starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi.
The 12-track album differs from Charlie xcx’s award-winning dance club album, “BRAT,” but still includes her signature sound. This time, her autotuned vocals and honest lyrics are backed by haunting string arrangements and, of course, a pumping bass beat.
“Icon” – Brent Faiyaz

Brent Faiyaz has returned to the music scene with a brand new album, “Icon.” The project includes 10 songs, with Faiyaz’s silky smooth vocals accompanied by sultry backings. Most notable is “white noise.,” with the two-minute intro track showcasing a lush string ensemble. The album covers a multitude of sounds, ranging from mid-tempo R&B to more pop-influenced songs like “other side..”
“you and forever” – Bleachers
Released this past Wednesday, “you and forever” is the first single off Bleachers’ upcoming album, “everyone for ten minutes,” dropping on May 22. The song is bright, with echoing vocals and swelling instrumentals that crescendo as it progresses. The music video stars band member and producer Jack Antonoff taking punches in the rain while his wife, Margaret Qualley, dances around an apartment.
“Be Her” – Ella Langley
Following hit singles like “Choosin’ Texas” and “Dandelion,” Ella Langely keeps the ball rolling with yet another country single, “Be Her.” The song previews her third studio album, “Dandelion,” set to release April 10. Sonically, “Be Her” features dreamy country-pop production and a catchy chorus describing Langley’s desire to be more like the woman her beloved is with.
“A Love For Strangers” – Chet Faker
Australian singer-songwriter Chet Faker released “A Love For Strangers,” his first studio album since 2021. The album features 12 songs, many of them focusing on themes of human connection and maintaining hope in restoring relationships. Its layered sound blends acoustic and electronic influences, creating a nostalgic atmosphere for listeners.
