The No. 6 Illinois volleyball team swept Iowa Saturday night on the road (25-23, 26-24, 25-18).
The Illini stand in first place in the Big Ten at 9-1 in conference play. They are on a four match winning streak, with a 17-3 record overall.
Juniors Michelle Bartsch and Colleen Ward led the way as hitters, each tallying 14 kills. Sophomore Erin Johnson was given the night off to rest, and senior Nicole Kump played for her. Senior Hillary Haen had her first solo block of the season and posted 32 assists.
Illinois will return to Huff Hall Friday night, facing Michigan.
