Customers line up to recieve their orders from the Mo’s Burritos food truck parked at Fifth and Green Streets at night on March 2.

One of the defining aspects of Champaign food culture is the assortment of trucks spread across campus. Whether it’s a quick lunch between class or late-night munchies, most food trucks in Champaign-Urbana rarely miss.

Mo’s Burritos is one of those trucks that surprises you with the quality of food that can be produced in a motorized vehicle. While the storefront is over a 20-minute walk from Campustown, Mo’s Burritos blesses the student population by reliably placing its truck outside of Joe’s Brewery almost every night.

Mo’s Burritos clearly shines in the burrito game, but its menu also includes tacos, nachos, quesadillas, elotes and more. Despite severe lines at peak hours of the night, its crew works impressively, quickly and accurately, and it always includes multiple containers of salsa in the bag.

The fact that so many people consistently choose Mo’s Burritos over other food truck spots open late on Green Street demonstrates how elite this one is. There are few better sights than the glow of Mo’s Burritos truck after a long night in Champaign.

Hey there, you might recognize me as the photographer who's often at community events in Champaign-Urbana with a camera in hand. I'm currently finishing my Journalism degree at the University of Illinois. Since my first year in 2020, I have been capturing moments for the Illini Media Company, and I've recently become the Assistant Photo Editor. Filmmaking is another passion of mine – shoutout to my film club Illini Film and Video! Keep an eye out, as you could see me filming the next big hit on campus. When I am not using the camera, I am usually playing the drums. Should you have any inquiries, please don't hesitate to send me an email!
