A hot bowl of ramen from Oozu Ramen Bar on Feb. 29. Oozu Ramen Bar is located at 601 S. Sixth St. and has been serving members of the C-U community for years.

If someone is searching for delicious, flavorful ramen with a warm and pleasant atmosphere, then Oozu Ramen Bar is the place for them. Oozu Ramen Bar, located on Sixth Street, was voted for Best Ramen in this year’s Best of CU.

Once you walk into the restaurant, you are immediately greeted by kind hostesses and an automated ramen bowl with simulated chopsticks dipping in and out of it.

Oozu Ramen Bar is known for its rich and tasty ramen, which is available with various types of meats, noodles and broths that all stem back to their roots in Japan. The broths one could order are tonkotsu, shoyu and miso, and the descriptions of the origins of these broths can be found on the massive wall located behind the booths and tables in the restaurant.

Not only can you indulge in tasty, hot ramen, but you can also try one of their many appetizers and scrumptious entrees, such as gyoza, chicken or pork buns, edamame and chicken katsu. With such a convenient location and a multitude of mouthwatering foods, there is no doubt that Oozu Ramen Bar is an elite place to get all your ramen fixes.
