The outside of Wassaja Hall on the corner of East Gregory and South First streets on March 24.

Living in a residence hall may be a universally relatable experience that a majority of college students share. Communal bathrooms, loud neighbors and running to the dining hall before the lunch or dinner rush are all experiences students at the University share.

Although these situational occurrences may sound similar, the residence halls themselves could not be more different in terms of atmosphere and environment. At the heart of the Ikenberry North Commons lies Wassaja Hall, a place that seems like your average campus housing, but its residents believe it to be the best place you can live during your freshman year.

As one of the few new residence halls, Wassaja Hall features significantly nicer rooms and cleaner and more spacious bathrooms. Nicer hallways and room amenities also make this residence hall stand out.

Outside of indisputably better-quality rooms, the atmosphere for socialization is what truly draws people to live in Wassaja Hall. The hall has a lot of small lounges and seating areas between rooms which promote community and socialization among students.
