Wikoff batted 3-for-5 for the Illini (12-4), who outhit CCS 16-13. Argo, who played DH, batted 2-for-5 with an RBI and scored one run.

Illinois struggled to find consistency on the mound throughout the game. Sophomore starter Lee Zerrusen pitched four innings, allowing two earned runs, but his replacement, junior Mike Sterk, proceeded to give up four scores in just one inning of action. Sterk was charged with the loss.
Junior shortstop Anthony Scialdone had a nice day offensively for the Blue Devils, batting 2-for-3 with an RBI. Leadoff hitter Sean Allaire went a solid 3-for-5 and scored a run.
CCS senior pitcher Derek Roberts was credited with the win, and junior right-hander Dan Markoya recorded the save.
