Alex Aguilera, Assistant Sports Video Editor
My name is Alex Aguilera, and I am currently a junior majoring in broadcast journalism. I started working at The Daily Illini last year and began as an assistant video editor for sports this year. I’ve produced content mainly for football and basketball, along with some work on soccer and volleyball. I’m excited to make a jump as sports video editor in such a short time. Some background about me is that I grew up in Chicago on the northside. I love all my Chicago sports teams. Yes I am a Cubs fan, but I still root for the Sox due to the fact that half of my family are Sox fans. Anyway, sports have been a big part of my life being able to grow up in a city with a rich sports history. I also started filming and editing video in high school.
