University acknowledges Election Day as a holiday

The University Senate announced this year that Election Day, Nov. 3, 2020, will be the University’s newest official holiday, and there will be no classes in session. This follows the decision made by Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker who signed a bill in June that designated the upcoming Election Day as a state holiday.
