A University student takes a nap on the Main Quad on March 2.

The best nap spot on campus is in the heart of campus: the Main Quad. On sunny days, there’s no doubt why it is so highly regarded. The hot air and lively atmosphere is intoxicating — enough to put anyone right to sleep. The towering trees and long grass mean you’re able to be one with nature while simultaneously getting in a power nap.

Its location is ideal for a quick pick-me-up in between classes while also being a way to catch some sun. The bustling sounds of student life are a white noise like no other, no matter if you’re directly on the Main Quad’s rolling greens or if you’re adventurous enough to bring a hammock.

Drifting off on the Main Quad is in a league of its own. The number of places where you are comfortable enough to fall asleep with thousands of people right beside you are few and far between. Even once you’ve awoken from the serene slumber, the Main Quad has dozens of groups playing Spikeball and Frisbee at any given moment and are available to join in case you want to spend your extra energy on an afternoon activity.
