Faith Allendorf

Faith Allendorf, Managing Editor for Reporting

Hello! My name is Faith Allendorf and I’m a senior in the College of LAS. I transferred to the University of Illinois in Fall 2021 from a community college. I began writing for The Daily Illini in Fall 2021, and later became the Features Editor for the Life & Culture section for Spring 2022. This year, I am the Managing Editor for Reporting. Besides journalism, I also love writing novels and short-stories as well as hiking and watching TV and movies. I am so excited to be working with the executive team and the editorial board this year!

We presented the same prompt to a human artist and DALL-E 2, an AI image generator.

Our staffer did not see any of the generated art, and the AI only had the text prompt. The resulting art is astoundingly similar.
