My name is Renato Arteaga and I am a senior studying Finance. I joined The Daily Illini as a freshman writing stories for the sports section. During that time, I covered various sports including Track & Field, Golf, and Swimming & Diving. During my junior year, I transitioned to the short form video team where I’ve been creating innovative videos for our DI TIK TOK channel as Assistant Video Editor. Storytelling has always a passion of mine, and I look forward to helping build the DI’s online presence for the remainder of my time on campus. When I’m not in the newsroom, you’ll find me at the arc working out or at the Main Library studying!
